“The Southern Dysphagia Health Industry Talents Cultivation Base” Launching Ceremony

Kaohsiung Medical University organized "The Southern Dysphagia Health Industry Talents Cultivation Base" launching ceremony on 24th of March 2023. The president of KMU Chun-Yuh Yang, holding the dragon ball, led the superintendents from 5 KMU-affiliated hospitals in white coats to perform the dragon dance. This ritual symbolized the official launch of the one-stop service connecting northern, central, southern, and eastern Taiwan to the talent cultivation base. Kaohsiung Medical University is the only private university in Taiwan that received funding for the "Building Regional Industrial Talents and Technology Cultivation Base Project" from the Ministry of Education. The Ministry of Education granted 70 million NTD to this project, hoping to help patients with dysphagia. The dysphagia research project aims to slow the disability and help patients recover from it, by maintaining proper nutritional and physical conditions, improving the quality of life of patients, and providing holistic care of mind, body, and spirit.
