Key Points and Objectives of the Activity: To enhance international students’ understanding of Taiwan’s employment environment, strengthen their willingness to pursue career opportunities in Taiwan, and improve their employability, our institution organized a group visit for students to participate in a career seminar and job fair hosted by the program office. The activity also aimed to help students gain insights into industry demands and labor market trends. Through practical sharing sessions and on-site networking opportunities, it facilitated interactions between international students and employers, thereby supporting their future career planning and preparation for employment in Taiwan. Features of the Activity and Implementation Details: This activity involved transportation arranged by the university, providing a shuttle service for students traveling from Kaohsiung Medical University to National University of Tainan, where students participated in the event held at the Zhongshan Gymnasium. The program began with a briefing by representatives from the Talent Taiwan Office of the National Development Council, who introduced key amendments to the Act for the Recruitment and Employment of Foreign Professionals. This was followed by a lecture delivered by an instructor from 104 Job Bank on interview skills, resume writing, and important application considerations. Both sessions included Q&A segments for interactive discussion. The job fair officially commenced at 12:00 noon, with the opening ceremony featuring a traditional folk performance. An on-site resume consultation service provided by 104 Job Bank was also available, offering students real-time feedback on their resumes. The overall event proceeded smoothly and combined both professional insights and practical guidance. Participants expressed a high level of satisfaction with the activity, while also suggesting that future job fairs could include more healthcare-related industries to further enhance matching opportunities within their professional field. |
