Faculty members from University of the Philippines, Mindanao (UP Mindanao) visited KMU on Feb. 14, 2017.  The delegations of 8 faculty members from UP Mindanao led by Vice President, Dr. Nilo B. Oponda, visited KMU and intended to match study field for Ph.D. program for future collaboration.  The 6 staff’s study field covered life science, biology, agriculture, plant physiology, plant medicine, plant industry and genetics. 

Vice President for UP Mindanao led the crew to KMU and Vice President Hsiu-Hung Wang warmly received the guests.  Both had a brief talk on the common field of interests offered in KMU and UP Mindanao.  The crew from UP Mindanao also visited other Southern Taiwan Universities for the matching for further study.  KMU had representatives from Graduate Institute of Medicine, Graduate Institute of Natural Products and Department of Biomedical Science and Environmental Biology to join the matching.  Before both parties launched one-on-one talks, Vice Dean for Office of Global Affairs, Professor Fang-Rong Chang gave a brief introduction of KMU and guests from UP Mindanao posted many solid questions regarding study in Taiwan and then environment of dormitory.  This would be the first time that KMU turned a new leaf for a new type of academic communications.
