The representative, Dean Xie, suggested Shihezi University had formed alliance with Peking University (PU); henceforth, they showed great interested in the joint academic activities cohosted by PU and KMU.

During the forum between SU and KMU held at College of Medicine, delegations from SU made queries as to how KMU prepared medical students for future career life in respect to professionals in medicine as well as in humanity.  In China, according to Dean Xie, it was common to invite all the medical students to join the clinic for case study.  However, Director Prof. Lu suggested that in Taiwan it would not be workable due to privacy right.  Dean Yen mentioned that Taiwan’s liberal context took alternatives by adopting simulation classroom’s devices and clerkships during 6-7 years for clerkship rotation.

Dean Xie from SU brought up the proposal to invite scholars from KMU to their university for courtesy visit as a return for KMU’s hospitality.  Both representatives continued their talks in luncheon. In the afternoon, they had a brief talk with Vice-superintendent, Prof. Cherng-Jye Jeng, heard the introductions of our affiliated organizations and toured around KMU Chung-Ho Memorial Hospital. The tour in the afternoon came to an end by the last stop to the historical archive museum. They were amazed by the advances of the hospital and complete cultural record by the museum.
