Cooperating with the medical volunteer program in Indonesia directed by Prof. Aij-Lie Kwan, the Vice President Chen led Prof. Chun-Hsiung Huang, Prof. CheeYin Chai, Prof. Aij-Lie Kwan and Pro. Kwon-Leung Yu to visit Airlangga University(AU) in Sarabaya, Indonesia. They also undertook the medical volunteer program in Madura Island. On 11th of June in 2010, the School of Medicine of KMU had sign the MOU with the College of Medicine of AU. Significantly, on 11th of August in 2014, the Vice President Chen, as the representative of KMU, signed the new intercollegiate MOU with AU, formally upgrading the collaboration relationship from only between the faculties to the two universities.
