On March 5~6, 2018, KMU Vice President Prof. Hsiu-Hung Wang led the university delegation, which consisted of Prof. Hung-Yi Chuang, Assoc Prof. Bin Huang, Prof. Chih-Kuang Wang, and Dr. Li-Chen Yen, to visit Mahidol University for further exchange.

Last October, KMU hosted “QS Subject Focus Summit on Medicine” in Kaohsiung.  It was our honor that Mahidol University Vice President Ruengpung Sutthent, Dean Chanuantong Tanasugarn, and other Mahidol friends joined the Summit together.  Dean Chanuantong Tanasugarn was one of the speakers.  Both Mahidol University and Kaohsiung Medical University play the same important role in promoting their country’s healthcare system.  To learn from each other, this goodwill visit is therefore arranged.

Warmly received by Mahidol University, they visited Vice President Assoc. Prof. Nopraenue S. Dhirathiti, Dean Prof. Piyamitr Sritara of Medicine, Dean Assoc. Prof. Yajai Sitthimongkol of Nursing, Deputy Dean Assoc. Prof. Mathuros Tipaysmongkholgul of Public Health, and many other Mahidol faculty members.  During the discussions, many potential collaborative opportunities such as co-teaching, long-term care, joint research, clinical rotations of medical students, and academic-industrial cooperation were arisen.  Moreover, KMU’s experiences on Smart Living Workshop and Synapse Lab impressed Mahidol University’s faculty very much.

We hope that, through the joint efforts, the relationship between Mahidol University and Kaohsiung Medical University will be further strengthened.
