Topic: This Formal Announcement is to notify that the code of conduct in terms of academic communication between Taiwan and China (People's Republic of China) should abide by the regulation, "Act Governing Relations between People of the Taiwan Area and Mainland Area."
Content:
First, according to the Letter of the Ministry of Education on March 21, 2006 Taiwanese text (two) word No. 1060039447
Second, Inter-school cross-strait exchanges should follow the bindings in accordance with "Act Governing Relations between People of the Taiwan Area and Mainland Area" and "Regulations on signing all forms of written bidings between all levels of schools in Taiwan and Mainland China."The provisions should apply to all inter-schools any signging written bindings and issueing any written letters, which should be reviewed and approved by Ministry of Education a month prior to the effective date.
Thrid, for other relevant formats of written documents derived from the academic exchange communications (such as invitations), all the written documents have to follow the principle of equality and reciprocity, no impedement of academic freedom, and no violating the idea of influencing personal thoughts and free will.
Fourth, The contractor shall keep track of whether the date of entry and exit of the people coming from the mainland is in accordance with the requirements of the Administration. In case of a change, the applicant shall apply to the Immigration Department of the Ministry of the Interior for relevant applications and procedures.
Fifth, To assist the units of the school for cross-strait academic exchanges, please units inform the International Affairs Office before sending the application documents to join the alliance with the mainland schools or agreed in writing, for the land to school, and invited mainland scholars or professionals to visit.
