On March 23rd, 2016, Chairman, Prof. Neil Parry led the crew of Ibaraki Prefectural University (IPU) to take a courtesy visit to KMU. Meanwhile, they took visit to our affiliated Chung-Ho Memorial Hospital and also other off-campus institutions to learn about the healthcare environment of Taiwan.  In the afternoon, Professor Neil Parry had a thorough discussion with Professor Cherng-Jye Jeng, Dean for Office of Global Affairs with respect to promoting substantial collaborations.

IPU is keen to build partnerships with KMU.  Despite the different scale of both universities, IPU has departments relevant to healthcare, and most of the departments scattered in KMU's colleges.  The potential collaborative projects quite motivate IPU to build a stable and long-term collaboration with KMU.  Last year, KMU's students from Department of Occupational Therapy went to IPU and her university hospital for field work, which according to Prof Parry, is quite valuable to IPU and it urges IPU to move a step further.
