Consolodate substantial collaboration with partner universities and explore opportuniries along with governmental promotion of Southbound Elite Policy, February 4 to 9, 2018.
KMU delegation join the tour, Philippines Industry-City-University Entrepreneurship links for Inclusive Asian and Philippin Human Resource and Socio-Econiomic Development and also visited two partner universities in Philippines in hope of consolidating our substantial collaborations in the early February. Thanks to Southern Taiwan University Alliance and the effort of Chair Professor E.M. Wu, many southern Taiwan universities were called up together to head for Philippines to seek potential collaborations. Meanwhile, Dean Professor Hung-Yi Chuang led the crew of 2 KMU delegates, Vice Dean Professor Bin Huang and Director of Chinese Medicine, Professor Chung-Jen Chen, to visit our partner universities, University of the Philippines, Manila and University of Santo Tomas. KMU crew had a partner, Chief Executive Officer of Taiwan Jellyfig Biotechnology Co., Ltd, Mr. C.J. Chen joined the group to seek possibilities of collaboration with companies in Philippines.
The courtesy calls to partner universities were deemed quite fruitful. Hopefully, KMU would be able to invite Professor Teodoro J. Herbosa, Vice Chancellor of UP system to KMU to have further discussion for collaboration. Meanwhile, KMU would still make more effort on recruiting more faculty of UP to seek Ph.D degree. The visit to UST meant to substantialize our collaboration from College of Pharmacy to College of Life Sciences. They sent exchange student from Faculty of Sciences to KMU in 2017 and this year, their Faculty of Pharmacy requested to launch collaboration with our College of Pharmacy. During the courtesy call and the meeting with Faculty of Pharmacy, our delegates settled down many future collaboration including research collaboration, staff exchange, Ph.D student program, etc.
Hopefully, in the future, KMU will have long-term and sustanable southbound elite projects.

Visit to Trinity University Visit Taiwan Philippine Education Center at Trinity University of Asia
本校於107年2月4日~2月9日參與高雄市東南亞教育交流協會規劃之參訪行程—「緊扣亞洲際菲律賓發展的大學國際招生、技職訓練和產學合作策略。本校由莊弘毅國際長率領黃斌副國際長及附院中醫部陳忠仁主任前往菲律賓參訪。高雄市東南亞教育文化交流協會、馬尼拉經濟文化辦事處及本校姊妹校菲律賓大學系統共同規劃行程安排，全台各校(臺東大學、高雄應用科技大學、高雄師範大學、中興大學、淡江大學、聖約翰大學、義守大學、長榮大學、實踐大學、東方設計學院、文藻大學、樹德科技大學)共同前往。
參訪期間，拜訪菲律賓亞洲三一大學(Trinity University of Asia)期間，由該校張漢威校長陪同參觀設於該校的菲律賓臺灣教育中心辦公室。並於2月8日前往姊妹校聖道頓馬士大學(University of Santo Tomas)與菲律賓大學馬尼拉分校(University of the Philippines Manila)拜訪。與聖道頓馬士大學藥學院院代表6人見面後，雙方討論未來可進行多項教師交流與研究合作等。是日下午與菲律賓大學馬尼拉分校洽談，確定該校副總校長擬於107年4月8日當週前來本校拜訪，針對熱帶醫學相關領域進行合作洽談與討論。
