Speaker introduction

Mr. Justin Tay, Regional Director & General Manager (Asia), Times Higher Education
Justin Tay, THE's Regional Director & General Manager (Asia), oversees THE's strategic partnerships and initiatives in Asia and leads the team from the Asia Headquarters. Justin continues to establish partnerships with governments, media and news agencies, and corporations while working closely with universities and helping them build visibility and awareness around their research and brands. Prior to his current role, Justin came from an audit, accounting, and credit rating background. He holds a Chartered Accountant (CA Singapore) and an Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) membership from the UK. He is based at THE Singapore office.

Ms. Elaine Chan, Higher Education Consultant, Times Higher Education
Elaine Chan is a higher education consultant at THE with 7 years of experience in the global education sector.  She works with some of the top universities and governments around the world, providing data-driven insights to help them make informed decisions and reach strategic goals.  Prior to joining THE she had lead The University of British Columbia's (#37 in the World University Rankings 2020) international student recruitment efforts in Hong Kong, Greater China, and emerging markets in the Asia Pacific region.  She completed a B.A. in Political Science & Economics at UBC and is now based in Hong Kong.
